Quartet Prelims - April 22, 2023
QUARTET PRELIMS
Is your quartet interested in qualifying for International in Louisville? We invite quartets to a one-day, two-session contest at Tacoma’s Stadium High School Auditorium. The tentative schedule includes:
- Mic-test starting at 11:30am
- First Quartet session at 1:00pm (12 quartets!)
- Second Quartet Session (top 6*+) at 4:30pm
- One-hour Evaluation session at 7:30pm
TICKETS:
Individual tickets are available for $25 for the entire day for those not participating, available at the door (cash, checks, credit cards accepted).
AFTERGLOW:
The Tacoma chapter will be hosting an afterglow independent from the contes

Quartet first round begins at 1 pm, with
the quartet finals beginning at 4:30
(top 6 will compete)
CHORUS FESTIVAL
To take advantage of the double panel of judges in Tacoma, we have room for 6 choruses in a morning chorus festival. This allows local choruses plus our International chorus entries to “test” their packages. The proposed schedule:
- Chorus Festival starts at 10:00am (4 choruses!)
- One-hour evaluation session at 11:00am
LODGING:
If someone needs a hotel room, The LaQuinta Inn & Suites Tacoma is where the judges are staying and the quartet evals will take place. We do not have a specific room block.
